No carrier promise describes every road, property or arm of the lake. Coverage may change after a ridge crest, in a hollow, near a river bottom or on the water. Ask about the exact address, but keep offline directions and meeting plans anyway.
Do not trust a permanent “dead-zone map” based on one phone. Carrier, device, weather, foliage and precise position all matter.

Through Smithville on Hwy 70 / Hwy 56
Make Smithville the full supply stop. Food Lion: 719 S Congress Boulevard. Walmart: 515 W Broad Street. Confirm hours. Continue on the road named in the saved lodging directions; do not improvise a “shorter” hollow-road route after dark.

Buy supplies where the route is still easy
Travelers entering through Smithville have full-grocery options at Food Lion and Walmart. Travelers approaching from I-40 should complete the main shop in Baxter or Cookeville rather than assuming a marina store replaces a supermarket.
Road fuel and marine fuel are different. Hurricane advertises 24-hour pay-at-pump marine fuel, but access can change. For ethanol-free fuel or a particular octane, verify the station and pump label on the travel day; do not rely on an undated directory.
